     After having our early breakfast at Toast Box, we decided to try another cafe that's fairly new. We heard that not only is the food great but the ambiance and service, too. What's not to like right? :)

Cafe Window

     Tutto Domani, which literally means "All for Tomorrow" in Italian, is not your ordinary cafe but a lifestyle hub, owned by brothers Anthony and Jose Ma. Yupangco. It's located inside a furniture shop, Domani, at the New World Renaissance Hotel, just across Greenbelt 5. They're open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 8pm.

     The small space is made interesting with the myriad of colorful toys, trinkets and a wonderful display of cakes and candies. The seating is a mix match of chairs, with glass topped tables of varying shapes and sizes. The smell is really good, too! It's of aromatic coffee and tasty delights! (more on the food later. :p

The Mind Museum

Where Science Comes Alive! :D

     Science has been our favorite subject in school and what better way to  experience science than to explore The Mind Museum that we have been  wanting to visit since their opening day. We knew that the admission price is quite steep but this is for the benefit of public school students and teachers. Plus, you can't put a price on learning, right?! :p

What to expect :)

     The Mind Museum, an interactive world-class science museum, opened last December 2011 at Bonifacio Global City. The 250 fun exhibits is housed in a 5000sq.meter area. The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday, 9am-6pm and on weekends from 9am-9pm. 


     Tickets cost 700php for adults, 450php for private school students, 150php for public school students and teachers. An all-day pass costs 750php. Some rules to follow: no eating and drinking, no bringing of pets, no running. You can take pictures but make sure not to take too much time on an exhibit. ;)

     We then waited for our designated time for our museum tour. When it was our turn, the robot, Aedi (idea spelled backwards) greeted us and welcomed us into the museum.  Aedi told the visitors the do's and don'ts as well as some tips for an awesome museum experience! We were given three hours to explore the various exhibits.

    The Mind Museum is divided into 5 parts namely: Atom, Life, Universe, Earth, Technology. We'll take you through each one :)

ATOM: The Strange World of the Very Small

     This area contains contains the most number of interactive exhibits which feature elemental forces like gravity, electromagnetism and basis for our gadgets like cellphones, computers and medical technology.

Manila Ocean Park

Exciting. Enticing. Enriching.

     We went on our own field trip! :p This is our second time at Manila Ocean Park (MOP). This time though, we got to try everything they had to offer! There have been a lot of additions since we went here like the Jellyfish Exhibit, as well as the Penguin Exhibit.

     Did you know that the Oceanarium which is 8000 square meters is larger than the Sentosa Underwater World oceanarium in Singapore? The Manila Ocean Park had its soft opening last March 2008 and since then it has developed and expanded to what it is now. The park now has a marine-themed mall, hotel, restaurant and outdoor pools. 


     We explored five of the attractions that MOP has to offer: the Oceanarium, Sea Lion Show, Jellies Exhibit, Glass bottom boat ride and the Fish spa. 

SEA LION SHOW (150php)

     We first went to the attractions outside the Oceanarium. It was a good thing we were just in time for the 11am show. The next show is at 2pm - under the scorching heat of the sun!

     The show featured Icis and Ira, the adorable sea lions of Ocean Park. The show was both entertaining and educational. Not only did we see the cool stuff they could do but also learned about these smart animals! We saw them swim fast, jump, slide, clap, wave, even act sad! The lively trainers also made the show a hit especially for the kids and the kids-at-heart. :)

     Though we've seen a lot of sea lion shows already, we still had fun! These cute and smart animals never fail to put a smile on our faces. :) The crowd was active which also made for a good show.

Fleur De Lys: Patisserie & Cafe

     We just had lunch at The Real Thing Diner at the nearby Il Terrazzo and did not have any desserts there. So we decided to have some at Fleur de Lys, a quaint patisserie we saw on our way to Il Terrazzo.

     This patisserie and cafe at Tomas Morato is owned by Chef Jackie Ang Po who hosted the TV shows True Confections and Delicioso on QTV. She won a bronze for the country at the Food and Hotel Asia Singapore competition. 


     The cafe is open from 10.30am-12mn from Monday to Thursday, from 10am-1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 2pm-10pm on Sundays.  

THE AMBIANCE

Warm and cozy

     The ambiance is warm and cozy, with blue-green walls, simple wooden tables and light, silver chairs. Colorful works of art are displayed on the wall as well as photos of enticing, mouth-watering desserts! We love the silver designs on the walls that seemed like decoupage! :)

The Real Thing Diner

     We've been to Il Terrazzo a couple of times and have yet to try this fairly new restaurant. We decided to go there with our friend Yani to taste some Coca-cola infused dishes. ^_^ 

Real Rewards

     The Real Thing Diner is owned by singer, songwriter, harpist Noelle Cassandra and singer, events host KV Golamco. The retro themed diner have Coca-Cola memorabilia collected by Mr. Golamco from his stint at the Coca-Cola Company displayed around. The place looks fun and inviting with all the red and white Coke inspired items!

     The place is open everyday from 11am to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm to 10pm. They're open til 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

THE AMBIANCE

Red & White

     The diner is eye-catching with the red and white interiors, truly Coca-Cola inspired! They have simple white tables, red, soft chairs as well as black couches shaped like the Coke waves. On the walls are bubbles with some of the owners collection like cans, bottles, and the famous Coca-Cola polar bear. There's also a big, colorful mural on the wall, giving the place a fun feel!

     We've been dying to try out Nomnomnom since we've heard about it from friends and read about it from blogs. We went here a few weeks ago but unfortunately, that was a Monday and they were closed. Finally, the day we've been waiting for arrived! Hello Nomnomnom! :)

Come In! ^_^

     Nomnomnom is a simple vegetarian restaurant at the corner of E. Rodriguez and Tomas Morato streets. They are open Tuesdays to Sundays from 12 noon to 12 midnight. According to the Urban Dictionary, nomnomnom represents the sound made when someone is eating or chewing something and really enjoying it -- let's see if it's true here in Nomnomnom.. :)

THE AMBIANCE

     The interiors are not at all extravagant yet unique and gives the place character. They have warm lighting, a big enough space for a cozy dining experience and inspiring decors such as this wall art that says "Something good always happens" complete with the vibrant rainbow. :) Books, lamps and framed photos are also placed around the room.

     One thing that we like when going to new restaurants is when we get great home decoration ideas like these photos placed in a box type of frame, simple yet adds a touch of warmth to a room.

     From Cupcakes by Sonja, we took the Fort bus to Ayala, rode the MRT to Cubao, transferred to the LRT and went down Legarda station. We then walked to the Malacanang Palace until we reached Gate 3, in front of Casa Roces. Whew!:/

     Casa Roces is literally right across the street of the Malacañang Palace. The restaurant and cafe was only recently renovated from an ancestral house of a family of artists and writers.

     Upon entering the property, a serene pond with a unique artful piece in the middle of it greeted us. The door was also an eye catcher! It looked like a castle door with the matching ring for knocking. The door frame was exceptional with the intricate metallic design. A welcoming sight indeed! =)

     There were two entrance passages to the restaurant. The first one was at the left side for those who brought their cars. Upon entering, they'd see this grand centerpiece of a unique flower arrangement coupled with the beautiful chandelier. There were also framed photos on the walls which gave a homey feel.

     For those on foot like us, this is the scene that greeted us. There was a bar type counter, a display for the cakes and pastries and a nook where they sell jewelry, books and other novelty items.

Cupcake Galore! =)

     We've been reading a lot about Cupcakes by Sonja from Facebook posts and blogs so we were convinced to try it! We haven't toured Bonifacio Global City yet so this is also a chance to do so. We took the MRT to Ayala and rode the Fort bus to Market! Market! and just walked from there to Serendra. Our eyes lit up when we finally saw this small but cute store! :)


     We grew up eating cupcakes, the ones bought from supermarkets. The ones offered by Sonja's are more creative, fun-looking, and great tasting! Can't wait to try them all! =)

Welcome! ^_^

     Cupcakes by Sonja is just a quaint store at Serendra but is definitely worth trying! Outside are simple, white metal chairs, good for having coffee and cupcakes on a cool day. On the window are displays of cupcakes -- makes you wanna dig in! =p

     The place feels like a dream! There were red-striped walls, checkered floors, floral stools by the window and a glass window where you can watch them make the most-raved about cupcakes!

Kape Pilato Bistro Café

     Kape Pilato is a budding new restaurant in Malate, Manila. The interiors of the two-story establishment look high-end, really modern, and spacious! You'd expect that the food prices are high but they're affordable. They even have combo meals. =) And the food looks, smells and tastes great!

     On the walls on the left of the resto are the words coffee in different languages like cafe, kope, caffe, and ko-pyi in French, Hawaiian, Italian and Korean.

THE TABLES

     The chairs and tables all have modern designs, putting emphasis on clean lines, different shapes and the colors white, black and silver.

     On the second floor are booth types of black and white seats, again with the modern feel, as well as a mini bar with bright cherry red seating. This area is perfect for big groups or families enjoying their meal. =)

Café Noriter

Welcome to Noriter!

     It was on a stormy day that we went to Café Noriter. We were planning to go there for quite some time now. It's just unfortunate that Typhoon Juaning decided to join us on the day we were to eat at Noriter. But she can't stop us! We pushed through with our plan and took the LRT to get there.

     "Noriter" is a Korean word for playground which truly embodies the feel of the place. Around the room are stuffed toys, quirky works of art on the walls, fun lighting, and doodles from the customers themselves. The overall feel of the place is playful, fun and cheerful. :)

     Scattered around the whole cafe are cups designed by the customers. A non-expensive way to decorate the place while showing off some really good works of art, right? ;)

Myth of the Human Body Exhibit

Agenda: Renew our licenses and see the Myth of the Human Body Exhibit at Taguig City.

     We met at around 11am at PRC, had our pictures taken, paid 450php then got our claim stubs. The whole process took us about an hour to finish. Not bad! Hehe! :)


     Grabbed a bite before going to the exhibit. We took an FX to MRT Quezon Avenue, MRT to Guadalupe Station and then a jeep to Bayani Road which costs 13php. Whew!
