Cintai: Corito's Garden

Welcome to Corito's Garden

We went here for our 50th Monthsary Celebration -- and we're glad to have seen this really beautiful place tucked away in the town of Balete in Batangas.

Since we weren't sure about the weather (it was raining non-stop for the past 2 days because of Typhoon Falcon), we just called up on the day itself, but Ms. Patty gladly welcomed us. We were the only ones there, aside from their personal visitors. We had the whole place to ourselves as usual! =p

We availed of the day tour package. It was priced at 1500php but then Ms. Patty told us that they have a promo until the end of June for 1000php. Another great savings for us!

It was already noon when we arrived but before having lunch, Sir Christian and Ms. Patty proudly showed us their paradise. He took us to see the villas as well as the structures still to be put up.

Cintai = LOVE <3

Cintai (pronounced "Chin-tai") is Indonesian for the word LOVE.

The Garden started out as an ordinary private family rest house that the family visited every weekend. In 2005 however, their mother Corito was diagnosed with a terminal disease. To help her recuperate from treatment, the family often brought her to the garden because the place made her relax and temporarily forget her sickness. Two years later, Corito finally succumbed to her illness. Her husband together with his 4 children then decided to focus all their efforts into making the garden a paradise since she loved the place so much. They wanted the beautiful memories they shared there to live on thus the creation of Cintai… love for their mother and love for his wife. - http://coritosgarden.com/aboutus.php

Happy Lemon

Happy Lemon!

Since the day is still young, we decided to try the much hyped about Happy Lemon in Greenhills after having our late breakfast in Pan de Amerikana.

Happy Lemon started in 2006 in Hong Kong and now has over 100 outlets spread across China, Australia, Singapore and other countries and now, including the Philippines.

 Enthusiasts :)

It's at the Promenade in Greenhills, near a parking space. The inside was kinda small, with low chairs and tables while the outside offered more seats for Happy Lemon enthusiasts. Haha! :D

Wink! Wink! ^_^

Happy! :)

You could easily spot Happy Lemon, with the big logo of a happy, winking, yellow haired girl's face. Such a cute logo/character for a beverage shop! =D

Pan de Amerikana: Bakery and Restaurant

Welcome to Pan!

From Ayala, we took the MRT to Ortigas station then hailed a cab to get to Katipunan Ave. via White Plains. We immediately spotted the resto, thanks to the bright red upside down car. =D

Already teeming with diners ^_^

Entrance through the roof?!

Pan de Amerikana is said to be the FIRST and only UPSIDE DOWN RESTAURANT in Southeast Asia. Outside is a bicycle and a shiny, red Land Rover parked in front of the upside down house. Upside down flower pots adorned the triangular window. It was so odd but very nice -- couldn't wait to see what was inside! :p

Gayuma ni Maria

Gayuma ni Maria

We've been wanting to try Gayuma ni Maria's famous dishes which people have raved about on the net. Finally, we reached the place by riding a jeep from SM North to QC Hall then to Kalayaan cor. V. Luna and a tricycle ride to the resto. :)

Gayuma is unlike other restos. It had a simple signage, they offered a menu for the day and had several artworks adorning the walls.
