"Banapple is a friendly bakery cafe that serves freshly-baked pies,
cheesecakes and desserts, as well as good food and coffee."
After watching Bruno Mars' concert, we woke up at around 11am. We decided to have brunch at Banapple's branch at 2nd Floor of Il Terrazzo along Tomas Morato. We've been planning to go to Banapple for months. Haha! :)
Banapple got its name from their two best sellers Banoffi Pie, and Apple Caramel Crumble. It started baking pies and cheesecakes in 2000, initially supplying to friends and family. The place itself is small with only few chairs inside so seating area is very limited. They offered us to dine outside where there are vacant tables but we wanted to eat inside, (it's colder and has a nicer ambiance) so we waited... for about an hour... but it's all worth it!
Hungry! =p
We ordered first so that our food will already be available once we have a table. What else is there to do but to adore their interior which feels so cozy and looks so inviting -- what with all the scrumptious desserts!
Yummy!
Delicioso!
And who can resist their mouthwatering cakes and pies which they're known for?!
Sweeeet!
After waiting for about an hour (maybe more hehe) we were finally seated. The tables are small and simple yet unique and appealing. Can't wait to taste their famous cakes!
Rainbow marbles :)
Since it's already past lunch time, we ordered rice and pasta dishes that would satisfy our hunger -- and our taste buds!
Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country Ribs
Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country Ribs (P175). Extra tender country ribs grilled in hickory smoke, glazed with there homemade hickory barbecue sauce, served with corn relish and seasoned garlic rice.
Garlic Beef Tapa with Creamed Parsley Eggs
Garlic Beef Tapa with Creamed Parsley Eggs (P160). Tender beef tapa, fried in garlic pieces and melted butter, paired with there special creamy eggs.
Trio of Sausages Fettucine
Trio of Sausages Fettucine (P170). Protein packed pasta of crumbled chorizo, garlic longganisa, and Hungarian sausage, tossed in garlic, Parmesan cheese, and a very light cream sauce.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancakes
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancakes (P125). Studded with bittersweet chocolate morsels; paired with creamy peanut butter.
We wanted to try their cakes and pastries but there's no more room for dessert. We'll surely have them on our next visit! :)
Happy 4th year Banapple!
We loved the food -- especially the uber tasty ribs and its barbecue sauce! The pasta's also great -- just the right mix of flavors. The price range is not bad either considering the serving size. We hope they'd put in more chairs or make their space bigger so they can make more tummies happy! =)
