Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park

First adventure of the year!
Island Cove at Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite! :)

Last January 4, 2011, we went to Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park in Kawit, Cavite. We took a bus ride from Baclaran and reached Island Cove after 45 minutes.

"Island Cove has been known to be the pioneer in the tourism industry with respect to the introduction of a multitude of attractions that lure both local and foreign visitors. The existing facilities available to its guests are the Oceania Water Park, the Animal Island, the Island Songs KTV, the Adventure Activity Zone, the Fishing Village, and the Island Spa. Island Cove’s other well-loved trademarks include the outdoor giant chess set, the play ground, and Concert Park, just to name a few." - http://www.islandcovephil.com/

We grabbed their Adventure Package which included a 200php food voucher, 1hour bike ride, entrance to Oceania Water Park, Animal Island, 30-minute ride on their horse-drawn carriage and free shirts.

Just like in the Harry Potter movie ^_^

First activity: Giant Chess = Photo ops Hahaha! :D

We took more time taking pics than playing. It was great since we had the board to ourselves.

Then off we went to the Animal Island...
"Take a tour of the Animal Island, a working farm, where one can discover a multitude of flora and fauna. The Animal Island is the largest animal sanctuary in Cavite. It is home to different species of reptiles, mammals, and birds. Have a chance to feed crocodiles, monkeys, and come face to face with ostriches, Bengal tigers, deer, bearcats, and rabbits. Take a leisurely stroll along pathways lined with colorful flowers inside the Butterfly Farm. Regular visitors get to see how the animals are bred and grown from birth to adulthood. Visit the nursery where a variety of greenery are grown and sold. Learn how to sow and reap your favorite plant. Take them home and start a nursery of your own."

 To the Animal Island!

We just love standees.. :)

Too bad they were renovating the place. We would've wanted to see more.. Nevertheless, we loved the Bengal tigers and the petting area :)

 Up, close and personal?!

Our favorite background so far.. Hihi! :)

The guides took our pics with the baby crocodile, Albino python. We also had the chance to feed one big alpha crocodile (if that's what it's called.. hehe!) with dead chicken.. scary! exciting! :)

With the baby crocodile and Albino python

Our first time feeding a crocodile.. :/

After that we rode the horse-drawn carriage to the Fishing Village...
"The Fishing Village is the biggest and most exciting fishing arena in Kawit, Cavite. Fish at the 3-hectare fishing grounds and have your catch cooked exactly the way you want. You may also enjoy classic Filipino dishes and fresh fruit shakes while dining in huts on stilts over water. The huts are of different sizes and can accommodate 6 to 150 persons."
Like a Fairy Tail.. ^_^
Time to eat! :D

We had sinigang na baboy, inihaw na tilapia, fresh mango juice, 2 cups of rice for Mark.. super satisfied! loved the windy weather too!

Nipa huts inside the Fishing Village

Not bad for the 200php food voucher ^_^

Then more pics after eating hehe! :D

 Satisfied tummies!

Frustrated models?! Haha!

We rode bikes afterward to burn off extra calories and to use the free 1 hour bike ride (can a 10-minute ride do that? haha!).

Burning some calories, baby!

 Pa-cute!

 Last stop: Oceania Water Park...
"Oceania Water Park is the most exhilarating water attraction in Cavite. It has a 3,000 square meter two-layered swimming pool with four giant slides. Inside the Oceania Water Park complex is Kiddie Cove, a wading pool for children. It has slides, fountains, and showers that will surely excite the little ones. Oceania added two more exciting water adventures: Walk on Water Aqua Balls where guests can run and roll inside giant, inflatable spheres, and Target Shooting, a paintball shooting area. Guests can also take pleasure in a game of table tennis, beach volleyball, or target shooting while taking a break from the pool."
With the big slides

They didn't have the Walk on Water ride at that time.. That's what we were lookin forward to.. =( So just more photo ops!

 Nothing can stop us! :)

After touring the whole place, we went back to the hotel to freshen up before leaving..

Our own soap opera ^_^

Had a tiring but uber fun day! =)

  1. What a coincidence! I was also in Island Cove at that time because I worked there for 1 month as an English tutor for Koreans. :D

Looks like you guys had fun. Sayang lang wala yung Walk on Water ride that time. May ganyan na pala. I want to try that! :)

Actually my mom used to be the secretary of the general manager in Island Cove so I used to frequent the place when I was younger. Dati may Sports Cove pa sila pero ngayon yun na yung malaking function hall near the hotel. Relaxing talaga sa fishing village no? :) Its the favorite spot of my Korean students. ^_^
